Kitty Hammock

Gidge loves loungin' so a hammock seemed like just what she needed.
I just took a box and cut a large hole on two of the sides. Then, cut slits in the four corners and used an old hand towel as the hammock. I had to tape the corner of the box to stop it from coming open, so I did all four sides to make it even : )

Wonderful hangout

Gidge doesn't needs extravagant things to enjoy life. She has many homemade toys and hangouts. They may not be the prettiest things...but she LOVES them anyhow.

This is the beginning of the making of the multi-level hangout. I had taped two boxes together one on top of the other and cut holes for her to crawl and peek in and out of.

This is what the middle looks like. The two holes for easy access to the upper level. This is now actually 'carpeted' with fleece for more grip.

The final product! I thought about painting it or something to make it prettier, but she chews on it so that is not an option safety wise...besides, she loves it just the way it is!

Kitty Haven

Our living room has turned into a homemade kitty haven these days! Complete with kitty butt in the photo, haha.

This is the first kitty hideout I made, cherry toy, two homemade toys, hanging mouse toy, old car floor mat scratching rug and cardboard scratching box.

This is even before the multi-level kitty hide out I and more toys I've made!

ps...just pretend you didn't see the icky dirty floor : )

New favorite place

This has become Gidget's new favorite place to sleep once Bob comes home from work at night....right between his legs! Haha. She was so sleepy last night she fell asleep sitting up and then her head slowly just started to roll back.

Just hanging out

...upside down!

Gidge was hanging out on my chest, slid off and just hung out upside down for quite a while! It was too cute to not take pics : )

Kitty Blanket

I made a blanket for Gidget for inside her carrier...

Kitty food encrusted salmon

We were grilling tonight and Bob was grilling some salmon. I turned some kitty food into crumbs and breaded a little piece of salmon with it for Gidge as a treat. Then simply grilled it a little bit, let it cool and tore it into small pieces for her. She's got some for tomorrow too!

Noisey kitty toy

Our lil Gidge is going to be spoiled... I am constantly trying to find new things to make for her : )
Today I made a couple things. A noisey toy and a multi level hangout.
Here's the toy:
I started with a small empty sprinkle bottle.

I then filled it about a third of the way with a combination of Grape Nuts and rice. The picture is blurry, but you can sorta get the idea.

Using an old fleece blanket and cut a small piece of fabric wide enough to go around the bottle and twice the length of it. (Yep, I know how crooked this first cut was! haha. I trimmed it up a bit.)

This one was a little wide I figured out, so I took off about an inch and a half.

I then folded in in half and sewed the two sides. I then turned it rightside in and placed the bottle inside.

Then simply crammed it under the sewing machine to close up the last side.

All that is left is to give the final product to Gidge!

She's napping so I can't tell you if she likes it yet or not : (

Hippie Kitty

I figured since we feed her only organic cat food and just cause it'd be darn cute, we'd make her our hippie kitty : )

I made her a cute little tie dye bed...

I ordered her a cute tie dye collar...

her collar is going to have a cute peace sign/love charm on it instead of a bell
